We do so many beautiful parties here at The Hidden Garden but sometimes we're really bad at getting the pictures of the events that happen during the week at client's home & restaurants. However, this time, we caught the beauty of the private home dinner party as we were setting up on site. We did a mix of silver mirror containers filled with rich and vibrant yellow and green flowers with roses, hydrangea, orchids, lily grass, & tulips. It was luscious & beautiful!

Happy Monday! Heidi and I had a super busy weekend with two amazing weddings. While Heidi was up in Santa Cruz with 350 guests, working her design magic at the Cocoanut Grove for the wedding of Brad and Elizabeth, I was down in Point Lobos with another lovely couple Heather and Cameron.

Heather and Cameron had someone (besides me because I can never do anything about the weather) watching out for them. It was the most spectacular day on the coast and the day before was super pea soup fog
I just love Heather and Cameron, once they were pronounced married they danced their way back down the aisle to Bob Marley while every guest blew bubbles, it was an amazing moment!

Title: CDC Chief Admits that Vaccines Trigger Autism
Julie Gerberding, the head of the CDC, went on CNN's House Call with Dr. Sanjay Gupta to discuss the Hannah Poling case and admitted that vaccines trigger autism in a subset of the population with mitochondrial disorders.
It is time for Dr. Gerberding to answer some hard questions before congress.
Call for congressional hearings into the Vaccine Injury Compensation Fund autism cases, so we can find out what the government knows about the relationship between vaccines and autism.

Addendum: Gerberding/CDC/HHS has given several names to the phenomenon of Vaccine Induced Autism. Gerberding calls it the "symptoms of autism" in this interview, "autism like syndrome" during a previous CDC press conference and HHS refers to it as "vaccine induced encepalopathy" on their website for the Vaccine Injury Compensation fund.
I wrote this piece (see link below) to point out the absurdity of trying to fool the American people into thinking that vaccines cause something that looks exactly like autism, and in fact is diagnosed as autism by every professional the child sees, but is actually an "autism like syndrome" with the "symptoms of autism" that occurred following a "vaccine induced encepalopathy" which has the exact same symptoms as autism, but it is not really autism... oh... and by the way... vaccines don't cause autism.
It is time to end the word games and deal with the problem.
UPDATE: I have closed the comments for now as it was becoming a mess. People justifiably want to discuss the role of vaccines in the autism epidemic in detail, but the commenting format with its character limit, scrambled message/reply order and inability to link is not the place for this complicated debate. Trying to have a debate here is making me nuts.

UPDATE: Dr. Gerberding resigned from her post at the request of the Obama Administration when he took office on January 20th, 2009.
She quickly went to work for Global PR giant Edelman, who represents PHARMA and several of their member companies like Merck. Edelman is responsible for the "One Less" Guardasil campaign.
She served on the "Edelman Global Task Force on H1N1 Influenza", appearing on media outlets encouraging swine flu vaccination, even referring to vaccines as "magical", but never mentioned that she was now working as paid vaccine salesman.
On December 21, 2009, Merck announced that Julie Gerberding would be the new head of their vaccine division. Merck makes the MMR that injured Hannah Poling.
Current guidelines are that someone cannot go to work for a company that they have regulated for one year and three business days.
That would be January 25th 2010 for Julie.
Right on time.
My guess, this was really the plan all along. Watch the video again. Suddenly it makes sense just why she would make such a fool of herself by going on TV and saying that vaccines do and do not cause autism. She probably knew that her pay off was less than two years away.

So my first design created for the man who wants to send something other than red, he's a "Happy Chappy" lots of fun to be with, makes you laugh, he's tall, he's handsome, he's hot and so are the Sunflowers, he's not cheap (v.important) this baby would cost him in the region of £60-£80 and will last ages, and hopefully so will the fun! ~
Now this one's in a different league of love and lust, this design is from a "Secret Love", he's deep and complex, he's imaginative, he adores chocolate as much as you do and these "Hot Chocolate" Calla Lilies are far less fattening than the real thing, he's not flashy and he's got exquisite taste after all that's why he chose you! and he spent a very sensitive £55-£70 on you.~
Now this one's for the more elaborate planner, he's cooking you a fabulous dinner, he suspects you'll appreciate a bit of candlelight, this man like cushions & soft furnishings, buys massaging oil and will run you hot bubble bath and light the Jo Malone candles around it for you, he knows how to please you and he wants to do it, what more could anyone ask for. This is the one for me, the man who's prepared to give you his heart, his life and his credit card! he doesn't just love you he adores you, worships the ground you walk on, this heart of Vintage Roses says it all from around £100.00 depending on how large you'd like it!
~ This design is for the man that likes to buy things that are functional, a place for everything and everything in it's place and there's nothing wrong with that, he pre-measures the space for the flowers he's purchased to live, he isn't spontaeneous but who says he has to be, you know exactly where you are with a man that buys you a "Fireplace Arrangement" From £75~ Young, youthful, lighthearted, carefree, I remember those days, but this guys got taste by the bucket load, he knows his stuff, he's on trend, and he gets it! Today is my birthday. Yep, I'm a year older. I am also 11 years older than when I got married, 9 years older than when I became a Mom. The world looks very different to me compared to then. I am more sure of myself, more comfortable in my own skin. I am incredibly in love with my work and my family which lets face it is basically my life. To be honest I find much joy in the now. Sure, its not perfect. There are still daily problems and crap to deal with (any of you who claim to not have crap to deal with, go back to Lala land). But for the most part I wake up with a smile on my face, excited to see what the day has to bring. I have surrounded myself with the most amazing people. Really. My Husband puts up with my weird work schedule (24/7), my social calendar (seriously it's hard to be a party Diva when you have two kids, but because of Mike I try) and my shoe obsession (some of the best in my closet where gifts from him). My business partner and fellow superhero Karissa deals with my loud music, need for attention, over the top expectations, and my want to buy everything pretty. My children have learned to love Gaga, know what a seating chart is (along with a slew of event terminology most adults have never heard of), and deal with the fact that I am always on the phone and usually running late. But I make them yummy treats, take them to every new movie, and hold them every chance I get so they forgive me. As for my amazing Family, Friends, The Couture Girls and fellow Vendors, they make my life richer than you can imagine. I have found that sweet spot in life. I belong. I am happy. I feel good when I lay my head down at the end of the day. So here is to another wonderful year. Thank you to all who make each day brighter. I am blessed.
Esto es un ejercicio de descripción. Nunca describo porque siempre he odiado los libros que describen hasta los pelos despeinados de las protagonistas y porque me da flojera.
En la pared que está pegada a la derecha de la cabina de Hot 94 hay una cartelera mediana que la gerencia normalmente usa para dejarnos menciones e informaciones importantes. Hoy, por primera vez en mucho tiempo, hay cinco chinches. Normalmente hay uno solo para todas las hojas y si queremos pegar algún papel para echar broma, debemos buscar la manera para guindarlo, así sea encajándolo en las esquinas del marco. Como dije, las chivas ponen cosas importantes y nosotros pintamos bigoticos, guindamos fotos feas, recortes incoherentes del periódico o mensajes para otros locutores o productores.
En la pared opuesta hay un reloj redondo de números blancos sobre fondo negro al que nadie nunca le presta atención porque siempre nos guiamos por la hora de la computadora que está debajo. A la derecha del reloj, en un marco de madera con fondo negro, está una camisa anaranjada de HOT 94 firmada por varios locutores que ya no trabajan en Hot. La camisa es una edición especial que se hizo para Alemania 2006, es anaranjada brillante, tiene el logo de Hot en el centro del pecho y el cuello y los bordes de las mangas son negros.
Cuando abres a la puerta lo primero que ves es el pasillo de afuera. Esto se debe a que una pared de la cabina no es pared per se, es vidrio.Todas las emisoras del circuito son como unas peceras que les permiten a los curiosos asomarse a ver si hay alguien famoso adentro de la cabina. Además de esto, el vidrio les permite a los locutores que fuman preguntar cuánto tiempo queda para volver al aire.
Si te asomas por el vidrio desde el pasillo de Concresa vas a ver a la izquierda, delante de la puerta, la mesa donde están los micrófonos, la computadora y un banco de sonidos que se llama el Instant Replay. El Instant se parece a una máquina de escribir, pero con más botones y una franja pequeña en la esquina superior derecha que te indica cómo se llama cada sonido asignado. Al fondo a la derecha hay un mamotreto gigante que sólo usamos para pasar llamadas al aire y poner un CD cuando la computadora se queda pegada.
