Today is my birthday. Yep, I'm a year older. I am also 11 years older than when I got married, 9 years older than when I became a Mom. The world looks very different to me compared to then. I am more sure of myself, more comfortable in my own skin. I am incredibly in love with my work and my family which lets face it is basically my life. To be honest I find much joy in the now. Sure, its not perfect. There are still daily problems and crap to deal with (any of you who claim to not have crap to deal with, go back to Lala land). But for the most part I wake up with a smile on my face, excited to see what the day has to bring. I have surrounded myself with the most amazing people. Really. My Husband puts up with my weird work schedule (24/7), my social calendar (seriously it's hard to be a party Diva when you have two kids, but because of Mike I try) and my shoe obsession (some of the best in my closet where gifts from him). My business partner and fellow superhero Karissa deals with my loud music, need for attention, over the top expectations, and my want to buy everything pretty. My children have learned to love Gaga, know what a seating chart is (along with a slew of event terminology most adults have never heard of), and deal with the fact that I am always on the phone and usually running late. But I make them yummy treats, take them to every new movie, and hold them every chance I get so they forgive me. As for my amazing Family, Friends, The Couture Girls and fellow Vendors, they make my life richer than you can imagine. I have found that sweet spot in life. I belong. I am happy. I feel good when I lay my head down at the end of the day. So here is to another wonderful year. Thank you to all who make each day brighter. I am blessed.
