Self Portraits

Since Shug and I were traveling by ourselves for the last leg of our trip, we thought it would be fun to change up the typical "subject holds the camera" self portraits.  You know, the pictures where one person holds the camera with an outstretched arm and everyone always looks out of proportion and a little pained? 

We started taking pics of ourselves in all of the mirrors we came across in the museums we were able to visit in Paris.  The first pic in the Louvre proved to be inspirational, since the guy standing next to us did the same thing after we snapped out shot!

It was fun to get pictures of ourselves surrounded by the architecture and art of these amazing museums.  Some of the pics in the Centre Pompidou the mirrors were actually part of the installations!  Despite some of our somber faces, we were having so much fun when we took the pictures!

Katie & Andrew Cooper's English Country Garden Wedding at Bartle Hall, 19th June 2009

This is Katie & Andrew's wedding at Bartle Hall the ceremony and reception were held in The Windsor Suite.

The Groom and his party with White Calla Lily Buttonhole and White Rose Buttonholes

Flower Design's Rachel did a great job of taking all of these photographs and of setting up all the flowers on the day.

Katie's Bridal Bouquet was created using a collection of fresh garden blooms including Lilac Lilac, Peonies, English Garden Roses and Sweet Peas.

Katie & I wanted everything to look simple, elegant, garden gathered, the shades to be pinkie with a slight hint of coral, palest watery pastel shades including soft lilac and pale greens.

Katie loved the bouquet we made for herand thought that it’s quintessentially English character was perfect for Bartle Hall.

Emily to carried a smaller simpler version of Katie's bouquet, the stems were left semi-naked.

We made lots of small tied posies that graced the windowsils during the ceremony and larger versions for the centre of some of the tables.

The posies included lovely David Austin Roses, Patience, Miranda & Juliet alongside fresh fragrant herbs and garden flowers.

Both Mum's wore corsages to compliment their outfits.

The Registrars table design then became the top table design it included candles to lift the fragrance of the roses. The Windsor suite looked gorgeous and as usual the banqueting team at Bartle were excellent.

After the ceremony the tiny posies from the windowsills moved to the tables and we sat them on crystal cake stands also decorated with scented rose petals.

Katie from The Little House of Cup Cakes made a beautiful cup cake tower.

Hulk Hogan married girlfriend Jennifer McDaniel on Tuesday in a private ceremony in Clearwater, Florida.  According to TMZ, police were called to the wedding "when a brawl broke out" during the ceremony.  TMZ quotes sources as saying the altercation occurred when a photographer tried to take photos of the couple - and a "family employee" intervened.

''People Magazine'' quotes an unidentified source as saying that Scarlett Johansson "initiated the split" from husband Ryan Reynolds.  The two announced yesterday that after just over two years of marriage, they've decided to divorce.

Kathryn's Bouquet couldn't be too big as she had to manage her crutches too, (Though it's amazing what love can do no crutches required when she floated back down the aisle, I'm so chuffed for you Kathryn)
