Since Shug and I were traveling by ourselves for the last leg of our trip, we thought it would be fun to change up the typical "subject holds the camera" self portraits. You know, the pictures where one person holds the camera with an outstretched arm and everyone always looks out of proportion and a little pained?
We started taking pics of ourselves in all of the mirrors we came across in the museums we were able to visit in Paris. The first pic in the Louvre proved to be inspirational, since the guy standing next to us did the same thing after we snapped out shot!
It was fun to get pictures of ourselves surrounded by the architecture and art of these amazing museums. Some of the pics in the Centre Pompidou the mirrors were actually part of the installations! Despite some of our somber faces, we were having so much fun when we took the pictures!
For the last 2 days, our team of designers have been setting up a beautiful display that will be at the Your Wedding Day Magazine Most Anticipated Event. Teaming with Linda Pitelli from Eventful, we are creating a dramatic site for the brides & industry professionals to 'ooh' & 'ahh' about. We'll give you a sneak peak at what are talented artists created this time!

En la pared que está pegada a la derecha de la cabina de Hot 94 hay una cartelera mediana que la gerencia normalmente usa para dejarnos menciones e informaciones importantes. Hoy, por primera vez en mucho tiempo, hay cinco chinches. Normalmente hay uno solo para todas las hojas y si queremos pegar algún papel para echar broma, debemos buscar la manera para guindarlo, así sea encajándolo en las esquinas del marco. Como dije, las chivas ponen cosas importantes y nosotros pintamos bigoticos, guindamos fotos feas, recortes incoherentes del periódico o mensajes para otros locutores o productores.
En la pared opuesta hay un reloj redondo de números blancos sobre fondo negro al que nadie nunca le presta atención porque siempre nos guiamos por la hora de la computadora que está debajo. A la derecha del reloj, en un marco de madera con fondo negro, está una camisa anaranjada de HOT 94 firmada por varios locutores que ya no trabajan en Hot. La camisa es una edición especial que se hizo para Alemania 2006, es anaranjada brillante, tiene el logo de Hot en el centro del pecho y el cuello y los bordes de las mangas son negros.
Cuando abres a la puerta lo primero que ves es el pasillo de afuera. Esto se debe a que una pared de la cabina no es pared per se, es vidrio.Todas las emisoras del circuito son como unas peceras que les permiten a los curiosos asomarse a ver si hay alguien famoso adentro de la cabina. Además de esto, el vidrio les permite a los locutores que fuman preguntar cuánto tiempo queda para volver al aire.
Si te asomas por el vidrio desde el pasillo de Concresa vas a ver a la izquierda, delante de la puerta, la mesa donde están los micrófonos, la computadora y un banco de sonidos que se llama el Instant Replay. El Instant se parece a una máquina de escribir, pero con más botones y una franja pequeña en la esquina superior derecha que te indica cómo se llama cada sonido asignado. Al fondo a la derecha hay un mamotreto gigante que sólo usamos para pasar llamadas al aire y poner un CD cuando la computadora se queda pegada.
