Floristry Workshop Weekend in Association With David Austin Roses 25th & 26th April 2010

These workshops can be split into bite sized pieces;

Either one day £25 inclusive of Instruction, Breakfast Pastries, Lunch & Afternoon Tea or both days £50 with overnight accomodation inclusive of above and Dinner £92.50. A Bargain!

On the Sunday 25th We'll be designing table centrepieces with David Austin Roses and a fabulous selection of Flower Design goodies & On the Monday 26th we'll be creating Hand Tied masterpieces, we'll be splitting the group up depending on their ability so no worries for those of you who consider themselves to be beginners or for those florists amongst you who'd like to have a weekend by the sea but can't leave your flowers behind.

For the full weekenders we'll be organising an access all areas visit to Flower Design with a look at our off site workroom, the bridal studio and the cooler unit, for our florist friends we will be happy to share lots of our event tips.

~

We will provide scissors, aprons, work sheets, flowers & containers, so there's no need to buy any equipment.

~

The Floral Designs you will create will be charged for on the day dependent upon size and content. eg. Small:£30.00-Medium:£45.00-Large:£65.00

Ruby Birthday!

It's so weird to think that Ruby has been a part of our family for a year now!

In our excitement to pick her up and our distaste in having her "papers"

we never learned her actual birthday...

While we are not the type of people to throw doggie birthday parties,

I did get Rubes some nibbles of steak and an extra bellyscratch...

I may or may not do this every day of the year.

David Austin (The Young One) Visits Flower Design

Flower Design Loves David Austin Roses, we make no bones about it, I tell you all about their greatness all the time, I know you love them too because you download the pictures of them and send me emails, so I know you'll understand how excited we were to meet the man himself all be it the younger version!

I have learned from the visit that David (We're on first name terms already) likes his roses open and blousy, romantic and fragrant and to be honest who wouldn't?

So for your and my pleasure here are a couple of delicious images with David Austin's finest included.

Here's everyone in my office, it was an early start so that explains the remnants of breakfast on Sally's desk.

We are really impressed with their passion for Roses, obviously their knowledge, insight and expertise in rose growing is legendery, but their hearfelt love and devotion to the product and the David Austin brand was surprising and inspiring, I often feel like an odity when I'm being uber-enthusiastic about flowers & Flower Design but with these guys I seriously met my match!

Más que un post esto es una pregunta al equipo.

Al principio, todo es perfecto. Al hombre lo que le falta es el caballo blanco, porque la espada metafórica está. Día y noche, noche y día el hombre sorprende, asombra, mueve, hace, cocina y baila bien. Por meses que parecen días el pana escucha, responde, hace reír, ayuda, colabora y rescata.

La pregunta es: eso de verdad era así y por el inevitable paso del tiempo ya es todo menos wao? O es que lo viste así porque querías? O de repente lo que hacías era mostrar lo mejor de ti para no espantar y ahora que ya sabes que lo que tienes es tuyo pues muestras cómo eres?

Ya no hay que deslumbrar. Cierto, te enamora todos los días. Pero un día al mes o cada dos semanas pasan cosas que no entiendes. Que no sabes de dónde salieron y que te confunden. No puedes evitar comparar los arranques con los ataques de los locos del pasado y eso te da miedo. No, eso te da pavor. No reaccionas bien a los gritos porque la última vez que te gritaron pasaste por el susto más grande de tu vida. Y cuando tu novio grita, sientes ganas de llorar. Sabes que la cosa no es contigo, sabes que es producto del stress y que he´s just taking it out on you.

Pero ahora viene la verdadera arrechera. Si tú, loca por naturaleza y por reputación has aprendido las lecciones que a coñazos te ha dado la vida y tratas de controlar tu carácter por qué él no puede? Por qué  tú (a punta de autoflagelación) sí aprendiste a callarte o por lo menos haces el esfuerzo por callarte la mayoría de las veces y él no? Por qué él sí tiene permiso de explotar y tú no?

Bien pendeja que es una por editarse para proteger a la persona con la que estás cuando ellos no van a hacerlo. Bien pendeja.
