Beverley & Graham Smith's "Aqua Marine Dream" Wedding at Bartle Hall

por | | 0 comments

Bev's Wedding Bouquet has more than just a hint of Autumn, I included fresh Blackberries, Scabiosa & Poppy Seed Heads, Fragrant Stephanotis & Dill, Metalina & Patience Roses, Viburnum Opulus Berries, Peppermint and Butter Splash Laurel, we talked about the bouquet having a natural garden gathered vibe, Bev was really keen on the idea of it not looking too contrived or artificially constructed, and this hand tied style of bridal bouquet truly delivers.Beverley & Graham Smith's "Aqua Marine Dream" Wedding at Bartle Hall
The very intimate ceremony was to be hed in the Garden Room at Bartle Hall, which overlooks their fantastic gardens, so the use of garden materials in our designs made them look absolutely at home.

Title: HOW TO CUT YOUR HAIR and get the perfect haircut

I bought my siccors at my local beauty supply store , just make sure to get ones that are made for hair cutting!

*In the past it was very hard for me to grow out my hair as long as it is now. Because for some reason the hairdressers would always literally cut way too much off, it's almost like they don't know the difference between 1 inch and 7 inches. To them it's almost as if they mean the same. Which got me quite annoyed.

I've been to countless hair salons in my life, I was never happy with any of the results. And they would never understand exactly the type of hair cut I WANT! And in the end I was left angry by the fact that I had to pay so much for results that were horrible and even a tip on top of that? Like come on??!!!.. So this is why , I was so determined to figure out a way how to cut my hair all on my own the exact way and style that I want. And now , I'm sharing this with all of you who are sick and tired of hairdressers always giving you a bad haircut.

fall wedding invitations OPPD, Día 21

por | | 0 comments

Hoy es el día 21 del One Page Per Day Project. Estoy agotada. The bar, well, my bar, is too high.

Whatever that is.

Downtown Santa Cruz Events

por | | 0 comments

Happy Monday!

I am sure you know by know how much Heidi and I love our local community and do as much as we can to support it. With that being said, last week we had two amazing events (we either helped plan along with a committee or got to attend)  both showcasing the awesome downtown area we have here in Santa Cruz.

First was Cruzin' Courses, an annual celebration of women socializing together in downtown Santa Cruz. At its core is a strong commitment to the city itself, promoting the wonderful dining and shopping available, and supporting local treasures like our Museum of Art and History. Cruzin' Courses is a progressive dinner, where 60-70 women (dressed to the nines) stroll from course to course throughout the evening. Each year a different group of restaurants and shops are selected and work out sumptuous menus and special offers with the business owners to make the evening fabulous!
Beautiful Edith Meyer and her lovely Mom enjoying our salad and soup course at Center St. Grill

Getting our sorbet course from the yummy Penny Ice Creamery

The fun times at our dear friends Stripe Shop
Heidi and I had a blast and enjoyed meeting some new and amazing women as well and tearing up the dance floor with our good buddies at the end of the evening..

To see the different restaurants and shops we went to this year, check out the Cruzin' Courses website cruzincourses.com

On Saturday The Downtown Association of Santa Cruz hosted it's 50th anniversary Gala at The Top of The Ritt.

With a Barber shop Quartet welcoming guests as they arrived to 7 come 11 opening up the evenings music to Lavay Smith and her Red Hot Skillet Lickers headlining the entire event we were covered in awesome entertainment!

The heavy hors d'œuvre were provided by The Red and they were fantastic! Our sweet and dashing handsome friend JP of  VinoCruz provided the bubby for guests to sip upon arrival. It was a lovely event and a wonderful success.

My sweet friend Emily Bernard the President of The Downtown Association and I enjoying the success of the evening.

Zac Posen

por | | 0 comments

I needed to engage in a little retail therapy after work yesterday.

Nothing horrible happened, it's just really draining some days, ya know?

Since I work out in BFE annnnnd Target is close by,
I decided to stop in an peruse the sale rack,
which is usually seizure-inducing
in its gross lack of organization and wearable clothes.

BUT, I found ridiculous Zac Posen for Target deals!!!
Shirts for $6 and an amazing LBD for $19.

I know!

Therapy was a success.

Samantha and Troy, A Santa Cruz Beach Themed Wedding

por | | 0 comments

Happy Monday!

This weekend was the perfect beach weather (and it's been a tough year for perfect beach weather). It reminded me of one of our fantastic June weddings, Samantha and Troy.

Samantha and Troy came to me last year with a vision of a beach themed wedding. It took more than a lot of site tours to find our perfect ceremony site which lent us time to get to know each other. Samantha is the sweetest lady with a big heart and the most beautiful blue eyes and Troy should be voted class clown with a funny sense of humor and a great smile.  We worked with some of the best vendors in Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties on Samantha and Troy's wedding to make their simple, yet beach elegant wedding come to life.

I can't tell you enough what a pleasure it was to work with Samantha and Troy! They are wonderful humans whom I consider friends. They deserve the most blessed life and with each other, I believe they will always be supported and loved. Congrats again to Samantha and Troy.

Amazing Vendor Team included:
DJ, Nick Elliot of DNA Entertainment
Transportation,  Monterey Limousine
Planning and coordination, Coastside Couture

On a quick side note, this bluebird was Samantha's "something blue" and I squealed when I saw it as I was a Bluebird too!
