Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board Tourism Awards 2009 at Ribby Hall 10th June 2009

We were asked by the Tourist Board to provide table centres for this very important event.
Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board Tourism Awards 2009 at Ribby Hall 10th June 2009 We deliberated and cogetated over the benefits of tall designs and the benefits of low table designs with Nikki Duckworth and all the lovely people at The Tourist Board, we made them samples, photographed them, discussed some more and eventually a decision was made and we created all tall designs in conical vases, these designs were made in vases varying from 55cm to 90cm in order to give texture and rhythm to the room.

Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board Tourism Awards 2009 at Ribby Hall 10th June 2009 The flowers themselves were kept to a narrow column shaped design to ensure that everyone had a good view of the stage and also to reflect the shape of the vases.
Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board Tourism Awards 2009 at Ribby Hall 10th June 2009 This event is extremely prestigous and Sally and I were thoroughly impressed with the amount of planning and detail considered by the team organising the awards ceremony, Nikki was so thoroughly professional and clear with her brief and though flowers were a nuance and consequently an un-known quantity we sincerely hope they'll want to repeat next year, no stone was left un-turned in investigating the use of our flowers and our services.

Title: BBC Lancashire Reports The 30th Anniversary Blackpool head-on collision

Thursday 22nd of July 2010, The 30th Anniversary
of the head-on collision. Rest In Peace Dear Darrell, the Truth
will ultimately prevail where there is pains to bring it to light.
This true story of concealing cirmcumstances video made by a former senior Bus & Tram driver, in memory of decent senior member of staff with thirteen years of unblemished work history who was quite frankly made the victim of a scape goat situation. BCT management falsely claimed they could not track down the conductor of the earlier tram who had last operated the points. The conductor responsible and his tram was parked less than 30 yards away!
It can be proven on oath beyond any doubt there were several deliberate misgivings presented on behalf of the BCT management at the 1982 hearing. Namely the ommision of staff duty records and witness statements and the time keepers accident report which clearly identified the name and staff number of the conductor responsible. The Judge ruled it was an "overwhelming likelihood" the points had been left open by the conductor of the earlier tram. The elusive conductor responsible, his negligence and identity has purposley remained a closely guarded secret for almost 30 years. This indivdual has never been officially named or 'brought to book' It is incomprehensible to suggest the earlier tram crew were not formally interviewed. In the 1970's-1980's many senior Council and Police officials had sons / daughters and relatives who worked at BCT as student tram conductors during their summer breaks from university...
Darrell Pierre is fondly remembered as an innofensive gentlemen and was a resident in Blackpool for over 42 years and a loyal BCT employee for 19 years. I made this video in memory of a dear friend...Its a tribute for him. You will always be in our hearts.
