I am IN LOVE with these beautifully crafted recipe boxes.

Some of my most treasured heirlooms are recipe cards

in my grandma's or great-grandmother's handwriting.

The cards are warped and stained from multiple

seasons of canning or preserving.

My favorite recipe is my grandma's Idaho raspberry freezer jam.

I just might share it with you one day;)!

Wedding 360 - Nancy Lui Chin Design Room

The past few days I've been at the amazing Wedding 360 conference in San Francisco. It was such an inspirational experience from all the speakers (Sean Low, Tara Guerard, David Beahm, Todd Fiscus, Rebecca Grinnals) to the amazing floral designers that had design showcases at the event. I can wait to share different posts with you all week on my experience from the event.

One of my favorite design showcases was this room designed by Nancy Lui Chin....my dear dear friend and florist extraordinaire in San Francisco. I was taken aback by her amazing talent as a floral designer (not to mention she is the cutest thing ever!). Her design showcase "popped" with color against the white backdrop. The display of hot pink phaleonopsis, magenta dendrobiums, rich pink ranunculus and raspberry tulips were a feast for the eyes. Nancy hit it out of the park on this one!!

Intimate Tuesday Wedding at The Inn at Whitewell

Paula & Ashleigh chose to have a very intimate wedding ceremony at The Inn at Whitewell, the bridal bouquet included Lily of the Valley, Poppies, Scabiosa, Sweet Peas, Love in the Mist and Hostas.

We arranged small simple vases of Dahlias, Roses and Callas in Red Glass ware from LSA

The lovely and stylish photographer for the day was our old friend Lisa Aldersley and what a joy it is to work with such a professional

The long dining table looked superb with a series of red and clear vases and candle sticks arranged together with sumptuos red and ivory flowers

I loved the napkins on the plates, they looked really smart.

'Intimate' is tucked back into the shopping center - at the NW corner of Valle Verde and Horizon Ridge Parkway- that already has a strong reputation among local foodies and food critics due to the presence of Two Sisters Tea Room, Settebello Pizzeria Neapolitan and the Valley Cheese & Wine Store, three of Henderson's most buzz-worthy food destinations. At 'Intimate' Don and his small staff focus all week long on producing an unparalleled culinary adventure of a few singularly exceptional six to ten course meals . There is only one seating at 7:30pm and they are only open three nights a week. The rest of the week, "we are sourcing our ingredients from several specialty purveyors and messing around in the kitchen coming up with dishes. We like to have everything planned out and tasted by Tuesday for dinner on Thursday. People have no idea how much it takes just to make even a few ten course meals perfectly," the Chef says.
